Swiss Sustainable Funds Award – “US Equities” Category

Swiss Sustainable Funds Award

Fisher Investments was recognized by the Swiss Sustainable Funds Awards for its US Small Cap Core Equity ESG strategy, which won the 2021 “US Equities” category.

This award recognizes the top performing US equity strategies most committed to socially responsible investment practices. The Swiss Sustainable Funds Awards winners are selected by an independent committee, which evaluates funds and asset managers on qualitative and quantitative factors, including investment process, sustainability objectives, management team quality and performance history.

‘Towards Sustainability’ Label

The Central Labeling Agency (CLA) of the Belgian SRI label

The ‘Towards Sustainability’ quality standard and label were developed on the initiative of Febelfin (the Belgian financial sector federation) with an objective to qualitatively and quantitatively increase the level of socially responsible and sustainable financial products, and to mainstream its principles towards traditional financial products.  As of July 2021 Fisher Investments has two strategies carrying the ‘Towards Sustainability’ labe: Fisher Investments Institutional US All Cap ESG and Fisher Investments Institutional Emerging Markets Responsible Equity ex-Fossil Fuels.

Financial products are awarded the ‘Towards Sustainability’ label by the Central Labeling Agency (CLA) of the Belgian SRI label based on adherence to the ‘Towards Sustainability’ quality standard (for sustainable financial products).

Climetrics Fund Award

CDP

Fisher Investments was recognized by CDP, the leading global organization measuring the environmental effects of companies, investment funds, cities, regions, and countries. CDP awarded Fisher Investments' Emerging Markets ex-Fossil Fuels Equity product with a 2021 Climetrics Award.

The annual Climetrics Fund Awards recognize the top five Global, European, US, and Emerging Markets equity products for environmental performance. Award winners are selected from a universe of approximately 20,000 products based on their underlying "Climetrics" scores. Climetrics scores are based on a product's portfolio holdings, investment policy and governance of environmental issues. FI did not pay a fee to participate in the award.

Austrian Ecolabel for Sustainable Financial Products

The Federal Ministry for Sustainability and Touris: Republic of Austria

The Austrian Ecolabel is awarded to products and services that represent more environmentally compatible options within a range of comparable products offered. Financial products, awarded with the Ecolabel, must fully meet the relevant criteria of Ecolabel Guidelines’ three primary priorities. One, a sustainable financial product must be able to identify companies that deliver a positive performance for the society and the environment. Two, uses a research process that meets the quality standards defined in the Austrian Ecolabel guidelines. Three, meets transparency requirements guarantying that investors can get a clear picture of the sustainable investment strategy, the portfolio and issues included therein. As of July 2021 Fisher Investments has one product carrying the Austrian Ecolabel: Fisher Investments Institutional Emerging Markets Responsible Equity ex-Fossil Fuels.

Financial products are awarded the Austrian Ecolabel based on adherence to the Austrian Ecolabel standards “UZ 49” after an independent audit and confirmation by a qualified control body.

Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI)

The Principles are a set of aspirational ideals developed by a group of institutional investors and supported by the United Nations. The Principles reflect the increasing relevance of environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues in investing.

UN Global Compact Participant

Led by the United Nations, the UN Global Compact is an initiative based on company commitments to responsible business practices in the areas of human rights, labor, the environment and corruption. The Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact help participating businesses demonstrate their responsibility to people and the planet.

CDP Signatory

CDP is a not-for-profit charity that runs a global disclosure system to investors, companies and municipalities to manage their environmental impacts.

Climate Action 100+ Signatory

Climate Action 100+ is an investor-led initiative to engage with the companies on improving climate change governance, cutting emissions and strengthening climate-related disclosures. The initiative’s goal is to ensure that corporate greenhouse gas emitters take action on climate change.

Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) Supporter

Created by the Financial Stability Board (FSB), the TCFD creates voluntary, consistent climate-related financial risk disclosures for firms to provide for investors, lenders, insurers, and other stakeholders.

Conservation International Supporter and Emerald Circle Member

Conservation International is an environmental organization dedicated to securing nature’s benefits to humanity through fieldwork and innovations in science, policy and finance. The Emerald Circle is a community of supporters dedicated to advancing Conservation International’s work around the world.

Japan’s Stewardship Code

Japan’s Stewardship Code is a set of regulatory guidelines set down by the Financial Services Agency (FSA) to establish the fiduciary duty by institutional investors on behalf of their clients. The Principles inform institutional investors on their responsibilities to enhance long-term returns by improving and fostering companies’ corporate value and sustainable growth.

Training magazine

In 2020 and for the second year in a row, Training magazine—the leading business publication for Learning and Development professionals—included Fisher Investments as an award winner in its Training Top 125 list. The Training Top 125 list ranks companies’ excellence in employer-sponsored training and development programs. Fisher Investments was ranked 107th in 2019 and 66th in 2020.

The Top 125 ranking is determined by assessing a range of qualitative and quantitative factors, including financial investment in employee development, the scope of development programs, how closely such development efforts are linked to business goals and objectives, and their effectiveness in terms of business impact. Companies that wish to be considered for Top 125 ranking complete a detailed application, which is scored both quantitatively (73 points) by an outside research and statistical data company and qualitatively (52 points) by Training magazine editors and Top 10 Hall of Fame representatives. Fisher Investments was recognized on the Financial Times’ 2020 Top 300 investment advisers list for the seventh consecutive year. 2020 also marks the seventh annual FT 300 list, which aims to recognize the industry's elite investment adviser firms in the United States.

Advisers were evaluated based on assets under management, asset growth, years in existence, industry certifications of key employees, online accessibility and compliance record.

The Financial Times (FT) invites Registered Investment Advisers that meet certain minimum criteria to apply to be considered for the Top 300 Financial Adviser List.
